Briar Cottage

Briar Cottage has been part of the village for around 150 years, and we’ve lovingly renovated it to keep all of its character and charm while adding the comforts you’d expect for a relaxing stay. You’ll find cosy corners, original features, and a calm, welcoming feel throughout. The cottage is both dog-friendly and family-friendly, and our hope is that it feels like a true home-from-home where you can unwind and enjoy your time here.

Sleeping up to four guests (plus an infant in a travel cot), Briar Cottage is perfect for couples and families.

Both bedrooms have drawers, bedside tables and hanging storage. You'll also find dressing tables equipped with a mirror and a hairdryer. The blinds in both rooms have blackout lining for a restful night's sleep.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed and enjoys a luxurious ensuite bathroom with a free-standing bath.

Briar Cottage sits in the heart of Paxton, a charming rural village with a fantastic local pub and restaurant just around the corner. A five-minute stroll takes you to the beautiful Paxton House and its riverside grounds, while scenic countryside walks begin right from the doorstep - perfect for exploring with four-legged friends.
Within a 10-minute drive you'll find the historic market town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, or head to the stunning beaches and dramatic coastline nearby — the perfect mix of countryside calm and coastal adventure.

Escape
Briar Cottage accepts two well-behaved dogs at no additional cost. Unfortunately we do not accept puppies at this time.
The cottage and the local area are very dog-friendly with beautiful country walks from the door-step and beaches a short drive away.
